FIELD INSTALLER TECHNICIAN

Reports To
The Field Installer Technicians reports directly to the Head of the Technical Department.

Job Overview
The Field Installer Technician’s job entails the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of home burglar alarm systems, access control, fire alarm, and surveillance systems. It also includes the opportunity to work on other types of systems, like Audio Video, Lighting Control, Network, and more. A good Field Installer is technically minded and has an understanding of modern technology.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Primary duties & responsibilities:
• Installation, maintenance, and servicing of various systems including Fire, Honeywell products, DSC
• Maintain a positive working relationship with clients
• Willing and able to continue upgrading technical skills conform security industry standards.

Other roles & responsibilities include
• Provide security system installation maintenance, and servicing of various systems including Fire, Honeywell products, DSC.
• Perform Service and Installation of Access Control, Alarm, CCTV & Intercom systems.
• Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs as necessary on security systems.
• Perform upgrades and additions to systems in order to increase functionality utilization.
• Perform computer program entry as required to add CCTV cameras, access control, and intrusion alarm systems as needed.

Desired Skills and Experience
• Experience in installing, programming, training in Electronic Security Systems, i.e. Access Control, Alarm, CCTV and Intercom systems
• Willingness and ability to work flexibly and diligently
• Ability to work with power tools and ladders (not afraid of heights or confined spaces).
• Ability to complete tasks according to schedule and communicate with supervisors.
• Knowledge of building construction, ability to read/understand floor plans and riser drawings
• Strong communication, customer service- and interpersonal skills with neat personal appearance, able to interact with customers and represent the company in a professional manner
• High level of self-motivation and an ability to work with a high level of initiative
• Strong team player who can communicate effectively
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and work effectively in high-pressure situations.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate has experience with CCTV installations, access control panels, and good computer knowledge to allow for programming newly installed systems to SafeCom specification requirements.
The ideal candidate is required to indicate proof of technical skills of the following areas:
• Knowledgeable in Alarm, Access Control, and IP Cameras networking;
• Ability to install and program, DSC, VISTA, fire Honeywell products & Alarm system;
• Ability to troubleshoot all alarm equipment;
• Background of computer skills. (windows, OS, android & other);
• Understands multiple security alarm systems;
• Customer service skills;
• Can take direction from management as needed and report all installation issues;

Education
• Technical EPI/MB0+ or relevant education with over 2 years field experience required.
Additional requirements:
The candidate must have
• A valid driver’s license B;
• Ability to work overtime in case of deadlines;
• Command of Papiamento, English, Dutch, and Spanish (Reading, writing verbally)
• Ability to work well in a high stressed environment;
• Diligent, alert and commercially oriented personality;
• Ability (Experience) to install residential security alarm systems to high-level security systems;
• Ability to work legally in Aruba (Dutch Nationality/Valid work & residency permits);
• Successful completion of background check and drug test required.
